Pastor Jared has been faithfully serving North Shelby Baptist Church since 2023. He is an expositional preacher who proclaims and applies the Word of God with clarity and conviction, always seeking to help others apply Scripture to their daily lives. Jared is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Philosophy; his coursework is complete, and he is now writing his dissertation, which he hopes to finish by 2026. He often shares how his studies have strengthened his preaching, teaching, and ministry, especially in the areas of discipleship and evangelism.
The Cornutt Family
Jared and Kandace have been married since 2014 and have four children.
- Andrew Fuller (adopted from India in July 2018)
- William Carey (born in April 2019)
- Charlotte Grace (born in October 2022).
- Benjamin Raj (adopted from India in November 2023).
Jared was blessed to have met Kandace at FBC Tuscaloosa. Both being born and raised in Alabama, Jared is from the Gadsden and Rainbow City area, while Kandace is from Alabaster.

Jared is very involved with the Southern Baptist Convention and has served in local and global missions for years.

- Has contributed to many online websites including the SBC’s ERLC
- Led mission trips to China, South Africa, Cuba, India, Zimbabwe, and Honduras
- Has served as speaker for LifeWay Summer Camps
