Jared is an expositional preacher who rightly divides the Word of God and communicates that word in an effective manner. Jared is working to complete his Doctorate of Philosophy. He says, “My course work is done, and I am currently writing my dissertation and hope to be done by 2024. My education has greatly benefited my preaching and teaching, as well as practically through discipleship and evangelism.”
Pastor Jared is excited to begin the next season of North Shelby’s mission on April 9, 2023 by walking with us through Apostle Paul’s letter to the Colossians.
The Cornutt Family
Jared and Kandace have been married since 2014 and have four children.
- Andrew Fuller (adopted from India in July 2018)
- William Carey (born in April 2019)
- Charlotte Grace (born in October 2022).
- Benjamin Raj (adopted from India in November 2023).
Jared was blessed to have met Kandace at FBC Tuscaloosa. Both being born and raised in Alabama, Jared is from the Gadsden and Rainbow City area, while Kandace is from Alabaster.
What's Jared Up to?
Jared is very involved with the Southern Baptist Convention and has served in local and global missions for years.
- Co-hosts a very popular SBC podcast called “Potluck Podcast: SBC”
- Has contributed to many online websites including the SBC’s ERLC
- Led mission trips to China, South Africa, Cuba, India, Zimbabwe, and Honduras
- Has served as speaker for LifeWay Summer Camps
