“Can Creation be Described?“
Can creation be described? Many people ask about creation and whether the Bible tells us about creation or not and the answer is yes and no. The Bible tells us that God exists and that He created the world. We know that God is all powerful and without Him all of creation would not be here. Genesis describes to readers what God did each day as He created the heavens, earth, light, darkness, water, land, animals, plants, and humans. God created everything on earth.
“In the beginning,” are the three words that start the Bible and these three words spring many questions. These questions are, “How was God created?”, “Who created God?” “Where did God come from?”, etc. I have children ask me these questions frequently and I wish I could give them exact answers. The Bible tells us “Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God (Psalm 90:1-2).” It is not wrong to ask these questions but Christians should know that we will not always have the answers yet we should continue in faith. The Bible reveals many things about creation and we should be satisfied with that until we see the throne room.
Being satisfied with not knowing the answers to our questions is hard for people because we want hard facts. If we had hard facts concerning creation then there would be zero room for faith. Our faith is in the Lord even when we can’t see Him. It is hard to explain to people that God is all around us but we can’t see Him. Creation cannot be explained in the fullest and really our faith can’t be either. We have faith in a God we can’t see but I know in my heart He is here for me every day.
He has given you the Holy Spirit to guide you, protect you, and love you if you put your faith in him. “The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you (John 14:26).” This next part is difficult but you have to be satisfied and know that God is in control of creation and your life and if He wants you to know something He will tell you.
